Urajirogashi (Quercus salicina) is an evergreen tree of the Fagaceae family, genus Quercus. Its name comes from the whitish underside of its leaves, and it is widely distributed in the mountains of Japan. Like Akagashi (Quercus acuta), it is known as a very hard and durable wood, and has long been used for tools requiring strength, such as bokken (wooden swords) and tool handles. It is a tree that holds true strength within its quiet presence.

This product is a wooden pen meticulously crafted one by one using Urajirogashi wood.
