This wood barrel pen is carefully crafted, one by one, using "Zelkova," a representative hardwood of Japan.
For this pen, we use zelkova wood that has been stored for a long time in a kura (traditional Japanese storehouse) built during the Meiji period. Although the exact number of years is unknown, this wood has quietly aged for at least 100 years.

Its calm reddish-brown color and naturally appearing luster.
The deep expression, slightly different from newly cut zelkova, is a unique charm of this wood. We feel that the texture, which conveys a sense of calm amidst its strength, is something that could only have been born from a material that has stood the test of time.
