The Keyaki wood used in this pen has been stored for a long time in a kura (traditional Japanese warehouse) built during the Meiji period. The exact age is unknown, but it is wood that has quietly aged for at least 100 years.

Its calm reddish-brown color and naturally developed luster.
The deep expression, slightly different from new Keyaki wood, is the unique charm of this material. I believe that the texture, which conveys a sense of gentleness amidst its strength, was born precisely because the material has undergone such a long period of time.
