Akagashi (Japanese Red Oak) is an evergreen tree of the Fagaceae family, genus Quercus.
It grows naturally in the mountains of warm regions of Japan and is known as one of the heaviest and hardest woods among domestic timbers. Due to its dense and tenacious nature, it has been used for bokken (wooden swords) and tool handles, making it a wood deeply intertwined with Japanese life.

This pen is a wooden pen crafted carefully, one by one, using Akagashi timber.

Its calm, reddish-tinged wood grain is subtle yet refined.
