It is called "kihada" (literally "yellow skin") because the inside of its bark is a vibrant yellow, and it has long been used as a crude drug and dye. The wood has a fine grain and is easy to process, with a gentle grain pattern and appealing warm texture.

This pen is a wooden pen crafted one by one using this kihada wood.

This particular kihada has transformed into a deep, dark brown, exuding a calm presence.
